WGMD Fishing Report 4-25-18

Tuesday was cool and windy with small craft advisories posted through Thursday.  There were white caps on Red Mill Pond and the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.  The water temperature at the Lightship Buoy was 47.3 degrees and it was 51.8 in Lewes.

I stopped in at Lewes Harbour Marina on Tuesday afternoon where Amanda filled me in on the latest about the Joe Morris Memorial Canal Flounder Tournament.  It is scheduled for May 18 from 7:00 AM to 4 PM with an entry fee of $40.  Half of the entry fee will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  In addition, all of the proceeds from the sale of tournament tee shirts will go to this charity.  Last year the tournament raised $19,650 and this year the goal is $25,000.

J.D. Bucktails has donated a collection on their products that are on display at the shop.  These are round-head bucktails and money from every one sold will go directly to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
