Saturday saw increasing winds and dropping temperatures, but Sunday is going to be really bad.

Eastern Marine in Newark reported that James Hancharick caught rockfish measuring 31 and 46 inches at the Submerged Jetty off of Augustine Beach on bloodworms and cut bunker.  Katie Lynn Johnson had catfish between four and five pounds from the pier at the southside of the east end of the C&D Canal on nightcrawlers.  White perch have been taken from the same location on bloodworms and salted clams.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us Henry Busby caught a bluefish from the surf at Bethany Beach on a metal lure.  Blues and shad have been caught from Indian River Inlet on metal and shad darts.  Both are not usually there at the same time, but the occasional smaller blue may be taken along with the shad.  Incoming water is usually the best time to fish the Inlet.

Dans Tackle Box reported that Jeff Blevins had a black drum and Dan Reel also had one.  Both caught from Broadkill Beach on either sand fleas or clam.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
