WGMD Fishing Report 5-16-19

The weather report I saw was not that bad for Wednesday, but so far as I could find out, the only boat that went out after sea bass from Lewes was the Katydid.  They returned with a boat limit.  The head boat out of Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em also went, but only managed to bring back 25 or 30 sea bass for a small party.  I understand the seas were a bit choppier than the NOAA forecast promised.  Not the first time that has happened.

Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said some keeper rockfish were caught from the Indian River Inlet Jetty on Tuesday night.  No word on bait or lures used.  A few keeper rock have been scattered along the beach as well.

Lewes Harbour Marina told us besides the sea bass they also saw a few flounder caught out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.  Friday is the Joe Morris Memorial Canal Flounder Tournament and the weather looks good so get you entry fee into to Amanda as soon as possible.
