Tony Conway of Wilm., DE caught these 2 keeper rockfish while fishing on the south side of the Indian River Inlet. He was using a black and purple SP minnow from Daiwa. The fish weighed 9lbs each and measured in at 34 inches.

Nasty was the only way to describe the weather on Friday.  In spite of the driving rain, temperatures in the 50s and winds to 20 knots, 227 anglers fished in the Joe Morris Memorial Canal Flounder Tournament.  The tournament began with lines in at 7:00 AM and was over at 3:00 PM when all lines had to be out of the water.  A few flounder hit the scales between 3:00 and 4: 00 PM, but none large enough to get on the board.

The final results had Steve Friend on top with a 3.91-pound flounder.  In second place was Jeff Semans with a 3.71 pounder.  Third place went to Keith Stevenson and his 3.03-pound flounder while Chris Smith came in fourth with a 2.81 pounder.  Jesse Steele had a 2.66 pounder for fifth and Jackson Ostroski was sixth with his 2.40-pound flounder.  Last, but not least, was Matt Mitchell with a 2.27 pounder.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
