WGMD Fishing Report 6-10-19

bill-o

The weekend of June 2nd Taylor Deemer, angler with Tyler Tribbitt and Capt. Tim Tribbett (on camera duty) fished 100 fathoms at the Baltimore Canyon and boated and released the first white marlin of the season for Indian River Marina.

Sunday saw small craft advisories up and they will remain up for Monday.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina told us the Katydid with Captain Brent Weise had a 10-man limit of 40 flounder on Friday, the last day anyone was able to fish the ocean.  On Saturday, Dave and Mike Angstadt caught three flounder between 16.5 and 18 inches out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on minnows. Captain Vince Keagy on the Miss Kirstin had a mixed bag of keeper trout and flounder out of Delaware Bay on Saturday.  Captain Pete on the Top Fin has been running shark trips for families and finding some really big sand tigers.

Dan’s Tackle Box said Broadkill Beach saw good fishing for kings on bloodworms, FishBites bloodworms or clam baits.  Ron Capone and Bill Weiss had a fine catch of kings there on Saturday.

For those who fish the Chesapeake Bay, the rockfish action remains very slow above the Bay Bridge.  Boats out of Chesapeake Beach are doing well catching limits of rockfish on the troll.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
