Jordan Lightner of Dillsburg, PA fished with minnows on the south side of the Indian River Inlet and caught these two 16 1/2 inch keeper flounder.

Wednesday was warm and a bit windy, but folks were able to get out fishing.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said keeper flounder were caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on minnows and jigheads baited with Gulp!  The Katydid had a good catch of flounder fishing over ocean structure.

At Lighthouse View Tackle on the pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was lots of short flounder and a rare keeper.  Spot fishing has been good with a few croaker mixed in the catch.  Bloodworms are the best bait for both of these fish.

Burt at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the head boat came back with 10 keeper flounder.  He also saw a few small blues caught from the beach in Fenwick Island.  Mullet or bunker will be the best bet for catching bluefish.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle they had very little to report.  The kings have not returned to the surf and the water has been very dirty making it difficult to fish for anything.  Since we are coming up on a new moon the rockfish might start to bite.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
