Capt. Dave Eberly (not pictured), Wayne Smith of Ellendale, DE, Matt
Purnell of Lewes, DE, Jason Hall of Milford, DE, Robb Warfel of Milford, DE, Carl Bittenbender of South Bethany, DE, and Mike Schimmel of Ellendale, DE went out to the Poormans on June 15th. Out of Control brought in 13 yellowfin tuna using spreader bars.

Boy’s Toy went out to the Baltimore Canyon and used spreader bars to land yellowfins and a few skip jacks. Josh, Tommy, Francesca, Mary, Matthew, and Tom Gessler, Nolan Fraser, Fred Wetzstein, and Jay Marshall weighed their biggest tuna in at 52.7 pounds.

Thursday saw a hot day with a hard southwest wind, but fish were caught.  Friday will usher in cooler weather and a small craft advisory for the bay and ocean with wind out of the northwest to 30 knots.  Believe me, you do not want to be on Delaware Bay when the wind tops 30 knots out of the northwest.

I have to start out with a report from Old Inlet Bait and Tackle where Ken Mayhugh brought an eight-pound, eleven-ounce sheepshead to the scales.  He caught the fish out of Indian River Inlet, but not on a sand flea or a green crab.  Oh no, he caught the big sheepshead on a white bucktail with a white worm.  Only Harry Aiken would believe this.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said John Greenan caught a 14.5-pound bluefish out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on cut bunker.  The Katydid had a nine-man flounder limit on Wednesday.  The Grizzly had a good catch of sea bass and ling.

Burt at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the head boats are catching a mixed bag of kings, spades and trout.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
