The tuna bite was on at the Poor Man’s Canyon on the 300 fathom line for the crew on Better Days. Ryan Janney, Donnie Glenn, Bernie Bengel, Shaun Bailey, Jake Janney and Mike Glenn all from Cecil County, MD caught an 85lb and 81lb yellow fin tuna on the troll along with 2 other smaller tunas.

Monday was just gorgeous and fish were caught from the beach to the canyons.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said they had 16 tuna on the cleaning table when I called.  The fish were caught at the Poorman’s Canyon on a boat out of Ocean City.  The party brought them to Lewes Harbour for Tony to clean.  Amanda also said she saw flounder caught out of the Canal and a keeper trout taken from Roosevelt Inlet.  The Katydid came in with some flounder caught over ocean structure.

Roger Meekins of Frankford, DE, Jeff Waxman of Bethany Beach, DE and Steve Redden of Middletown, DE fished out at the Baltimore Canyon and had a great catch. They brought back blue line tile weighing up to 16.6lbs and 3 yellow fin tuna and 1 blue fin tuna.

At Lighthouse View Bait and Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was spot on bloodworms and short flounder on jigs with Gulp!.  No keeper flounder showed up on Monday.

Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the head boat has had better flounder catches on the afternoon trip bringing in 14 on Sunday.  The offshore boats were still out when I called.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said small blues and croaker have been caught out of the Inlet. The blues hit spoons and the croaker take sand fleas.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
