WGMD Fishing Report 6-3-18

Saturday saw much better weather than expected and a good number of fish were caught.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the FOMO caught a 200.9-pound mako for Steve Randazo who was entered in the Mako Mania Tournament in Ocean City.  The Surface Tension with Captain Keith Beebe fishing out to the Poorman’s Canyon where he caught a bluefin, a monkfish and some sea bass.  Ken Shabrath caught a 5.71-pound flounder out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.  The boats working the night shift in Delaware Bay are catching good numbers of black drum.  The Pirate King had a mixed bag of kings, blowfish and smooth dog sharks out of the bay.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em, Burt told us the full day head boat had flounder and sea bass.  Bluefin tuna have been caught at the Tea Cup on out to 35 fathoms.  A six-pound trout was caught on a swim shad from the jetty by Matt Boyer.

Dan’s Tackle told us a keeper trout was caught from Broadkill Beach by Chad Bayless on a peeler crab.
