The Kesten Family fishing trip was a success on a trip with Capt. Rodney Meyers of the “Last $” Rob Kesten of Ridgefield, CT caught this 5.6lb and 27 inch flounder using squid and cut blue fish out at site 10 along with his family hooking up a couple other flounder. Also pictured are Pam, Anna, Amanda Kesten and Owen Hull.

Wednesday was another beautiful summer day and while big seas from the hurricane offshore kept most boats close to the beach, good numbers of fish were caught.

Diana at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em had some great news for flounder fishermen.  A party of four on a private boat fished east of B Buoy to catch their limit of flounder.  All 16 keepers were caught on six-inch Gulp! jigged over ocean structure.  The Judy V had some flounder on her morning trip.  A boat fishing at Fenwick Shoal caught black drum and triggerfish.  A few keeper flounder were caught out of the inlet.

Fishing out at the Baltimore Canyon trolling ballyhoo this 97.1lb yellow fin tuna was caught on the “Knock on Wood” along with 10 other tuna weighing 30-45lbs and 4 mahi. They also had one white release and released 4 other smaller tuna. Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid came in from the ocean with a catch of flounder.  The Miss Kirstin had flounder and sea robins from the ocean.  A few keeper flounder were caught from the Canal.

Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported good fishing for spot with the occasional croaker caught on bloodworms.

Old Inlet reported a 17-inch sheepshead caught from the rocks on a sand flea.  Blues to 12 inches were caught on metal lures.
