Mike Buffone of Sayre, PA caught this 6.3lb flounder while fishing with Capt. Chris Adams on the head boat Judy V. He was using cut squid on a top and bottom rig while drifting on the Old Grounds.

Thursday was a bit cooler, but the fish continued to bite.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid fished in the bay for a catch of triggerfish, flounder, sheepshead and trout.  The Canal gave up some flounder on minnows or Gulp!.

A Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was big spot and keeper croaker caught on bloodworms.  A few keeper flounder were caught on minnows.

Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said Mike Buffone caught a 6.5-pound flounder on cut bait while fishing on the Judy V during the morning trip.  Blues have been caught on spoons at Fenwick Shoal.

Old Inlet once again assured me that croaker fishing is red hot at the inlet.  As we know my experience was just the opposite, but I am sure the fish refused to cooperate just to embarrass me.  Sand fleas or FishBite sand fleas have been the best bait.  Flounder were caught in the same location on Gulp! nuclear chicken.  All of this good action has been on the southside west of the campground.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
