A trip out to the Baltimore Canyon was a successful trip for this group on the Capt. Ike II with a nice catch of mahi and yellow fin tuna caught while out at the Baltimore Canyon. Caught while trolling ballyhoo. Pictured are Joe and Jonathon Kspersky of Greenwood, DE and Josiah, Asa, Brandy and Mike Irwin from Delmar, MD.

Friday got the weekend off to a good start with cool weather and good fishing.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina told us about Young Elizabeth Grace Mills and hew proud grandfather Mike Mills and the two flounder they caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.  Elizabeth’s was 18 inches while Grand Pop Mike’s measured 21 inches.  Both were caught on minnows and pink Gulp!.  Also from the Canal, Justin Clymer and Dominick Alvin brought in 17 and 19-inch flounders also caught on Gulp! and minnows.  The Grizzly with Captain Cary Evans had a good canyon trip on Thursday boxing yellowfin tuna and bonito.

At the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park Lighthouse View Tackle reported another good day of spot fishing.  Bloodworms are best for the spot.  A couple of keeper flounder were caught on minnows.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle I finally found out what I have been doing wrong when it comes to the croaker bite.  The fish are stacked up alongside the rail at the campground on the southside, not the open area between the campground and the big homes.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
