Mike Baumgartner, David Fluharty, Johnny Coffiey and Jim Baumgartner all
from the Bethany Beach area fishing just south of B-Buoy using Gulp baits on a buck tail and were just one short of a boat limit. The largest fish measured 20″ and weighed 3lbs, their total catch weight was 24lbs.

The rain was a bit scattered on Thursday.  I left my house in a downpour at 2:30 and by the time I got to Five Points at 2:40 the road was dry.

I stopped by Lewes Harbour Marina and saw Captain Brent off the Katydid who told me his party had 25 flounder off of ocean structure.  Tommy had a report from Dave and Joe Walker who along with Robert Karpovich and Chris Curlett fished the Wilmington Canyon on Wednesday catching two blueline tilefish, two dolphin and five 50-pound class yellowfin tuna.

At the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park, Lighthouse View Tackle said some small croaker and short flounder were caught along with good numbers of spot.

Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the Black Pearl released a white marlin at Massey’s Canyon.  Boats fishing inshore caught some flounder and sea bass over ocean structure.

At Old Inlet the good report was croaker in the 12 to 14-inch size caught on sand fleas out of the inlet along the southside campgrounds.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
