DSP investigating fatal car crash in Lewes

Delaware State Police is investigating a car crash in Lewes that has now turned fatal. Police say on March 19, Charmla Capanaro of Lewes was driving along Camp Arrowhead Road south of Angola Road, when her car drifted off the roadway, striking a mailbox, utility pole, and several trees before flipping onto its side. Capanaro was airlifted to Christiana Hospital by the Delware State Police Helicopter, where she was in critical condition. However, yesterday morning, Capanaro died as a result of her injuries. State Police say they are continuing their investigation into the crash.
