Delaware State Police have arrested and charged two Pennsylvania men with multiple drug offenses after their vehicle was pulled over for speeding on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place around 5:03 p.m. in the area of South DuPont Highway, south of Fleatown Road in Ellendale. Troopers pulled over a black Mercedes Benz for speeding. During the police stop, Troopers noticed a strong marijuana smell from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered 187.5 grams of marijuana, 98 one gram vials of liquid THC, an assortment of drug paraphernalia and 6,806 dollars in suspected drug proceeds.
18-year-old Benjamin Roscioli of Horsham, PA and 18-year-old Andrew McPoyle of North Wales, PA were arrested and transported back to DSP Troop 7 where they were charged with one count each of Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 1 Quantity, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Second Degree Conspiracy and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Roscioli was cited for speeding.
They were arraigned and released on 6,250 dollars unsecured bail, respectively.
