UPDATED: 1 Dead and 2 Injured in Dover Area Crash

UPDATED – 09/22/25 – Delaware State Police have identified 70-year-old Bradford Pearce, of Dover, Delaware, as the man who died in the fatal two-car crash in Dover on Saturday afternoon.

ORIGINAL STORY – 09/21/25 – A head-on collision on Dyke Branch Road east of Dover Saturday afternoon has left a Dover man dead and two others injured. Delaware State Police say the 70 year old driver of a Honda crossed the center line in a curve west of Wheel of Fortune Road and collided with a Volvo driven by a 16 year old from Dover.

The driver of the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt – he was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Volvo was belted and treated for minor injuries – his passenger was also wearing a seatbelt and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
