19-Year-Old Man Shot In Dover

Dover Police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left a 19-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the thigh and hand.

According to police, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the unit block of Willis Road at 8:57 p.m. About 40 people were in the roadway when officers got there. Police found shell casings in the area and later learned that a shooting victim had been brought to Bayhealth Kent Campus Emergency Room.

The man told police he had been walking in the area of South Little Creek Road and Barrister Place when he was shot. He could not give other details.
