5 local schools honored for academic achievement

Delaware’s Department of Education is honoring 5 local schools for academic achievements. Schools in Cape Henlopen, Indian River, and Milford School Districts were recognized as schools whose students are performing at an exceptionally high level, or have succeeded in closing achievement gaps for students. Department of Education Secretary Susan Bunting says the3 state must learn from what is working well in these schools and replicate that success across the state. The schools will receive $8,000 prize money to spend at their discretion.
