Seaford police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted arson at the Miracle Revival Center Church early this month. Police say a Molotov cocktail type of device was found inside the church. It had extinguished itself before causing any burn damage to the church though an ignitable substance, believed to be gasoline, did cause damage to the carpeting. Seaford Police Department, ATF and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office say 28 year old Garry Elmidort was developed as a person of interest as they investigated a series of fires in the area. He is charged with 2nd degree attempted arson, possession of an incendiary device, and two counts of criminal mischief.
