A Georgetown man has been arrested for assaulting another man.  Delaware State Police were called to Beebe Hospital Thursday for an assault complaint where troopers learned that a 19 year old man got into a fight with his girlfriend’s brother, 20 year old Kevin Shorter of Georgetown.  The couple was driving on Route 24 when they spotted Shorter walking along the road. The victim got out of the vehicle and began arguing with Shorter in reference to an earlier dispute.  Shorter grabbed a large rock and struck the victim causing serious injury.  Shorter turned himself in to State Police – he is charged with 1st degree assault, terroristic threatening and possession of a deadly weapon.  He was released after posting a $21,000 secured bond.
