Dover Police Investigate Unreported Shooting Incident

A Felton man has been arrested in connection with an investigation into a shooting that was not reported to Police. Dover Police Detectives learned that a shooting occurred Friday night in the area of South New Street and West Reed Street. A review of surveillance cameras showed that a black male fired a handgun at three victims just before 11pm and then left the area. The suspect was identified as 26 year old Jamal Jones of Felton.
Police arrested Jones on Monday ā he is charged with the following offenses:Ā
- Reckless Endangering First Degree (3x)Ā
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2x)Ā
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Jones is being held at SCI in default of a $98,000 cash bail.
Police say there were no calls for this shooting or shots fired at the time of the incident and no injuries have been reported.
