$6 million in state funding available for Downtown Redevelopment projects

The State of Delaware offering up almost $6 million in Downtown Development District rebates, including nearly $1 million for towns in Sussex County.

Property owners, businesses, non-profits, or homeowners can apply for the tax rebates if they fall within the Downtown Development boundaries in Seaford, Laurel, Georgetown, Milford, or Harrington.

Eligible expenses include rehabilitation, expansion, or new construction of commercial, industrial, or residential buildings. The grant is capped at $30,000 per building or facility.
