6 Pounds Of Pot Seized During Drug Arrest

A traffic stop in Harrington has led to a man’s arrest and seizure of more than six pounds of marijuana and a handgun.
According to Harrington Police, 42-year-old Ronnell Vickers of Harrington was operating a vehicle with invalid registration. The smell of marijuana from the vehicle led to a probable-cause search. Police said that search turned up the marijuana as well as Ecstasy, a loaded 9-millimeter handgun, two digital scales and various drug paraphernalia.
Vickers faces multiple charges – some felonies – and was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution.

Harrington Police outlined these charges:

Mr. Vickers was taken into custody without incident and transported to Harrington PD
where he was charged with the following:
Manufacture/Deliver/PWID Controlled Substance Tier 2 quantity (C Felony)
Manufacture/Deliver/PWID Controlled Substance (D Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 2 quantity (F Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 1 quantity (G Felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (violation)
Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony (B Felony)
Carrying a concealed deadly weapon/Firearm (D Felony)
2 registration violations
Mr. Vickers was presented via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was
committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $31,000 cash bond.
