8 Charged with Sex Offender Registry Violations in Worcester County

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office recently partnered with local and federal agencies to enforce sex offender registry compliance across Worcester County. The compliance initiative – from March 3rd to 14th resulted in 69 sex offender compliance checks. Deputies obtained arrest warrants for 8 who failed to register as a sex offender – six warrants were closed by physical arrests.

The WCSO Sex Offender Registry Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service – District of Maryland, the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), and the Ocean City Police Department conducted a joint compliance initiative.
