Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/01/25
Wednesday wasn鈥檛 the worst weather day we have seen even though there was a small craft advisory up as usual.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported that Captain Beebe on the Surface Tension had an early morning trip to ocean structure and brought in 10 keeper tog.
When I called Old Inlet Bait and Tackle, they we weighing in an 18-inch tog that tipped the scales at 4.75 pounds. It was caught out of Indian River Inlet on a green crab. The striper action continued not only from the North Jetty, but from the South Jetty as well. There were more smaller fish on Wednesday. Plugs, swim shads and bucktails were the prime attractors.
Rick鈥檚 Bait and Tackle said Massey鈥檚 Landing has seen tog on green crabs, shad on shad darts and blues on metal lures.
Indian River Bay has produced occasional keeper flounder.
