Snow Hill Voters Choose Council Representation; Official Results to be Confirmed May 28th

The Snow Hill Board of Elections announced unofficial results of the Town’s general election yesterday, May 6th. Incumbent Aaron W. Lumpkins received 60 votes, while challenger Madelyn Lampron received 8, making Lumpkins the unofficial winner for the Central District Council seat. Out of 584 registered voters, 71 total votes were cast–including 2 absentee ballots collected and 1 provisional ballot. Official results will be confirmed on May 28th, with new terms beginning after swearing-in on June 10th.
