Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/20/25

Small craft advisories were up on Monday and the week ahead is looking pretty unsettled.

Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said no boats left their docks on Monday. Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em did say they saw some blues caught out of Indian River Inlet.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that the night shift at Indian River Inlet caught some stripers on swimshads and SP Minnows. During the day, on incoming current, blues and shad were caught on shad darts and spoons. While they are selling bait for surf fishing, they have not received any reports from the beach.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle told us blues are being caught at Massey’s Landing on cut bait and spoons. I might try a yellow bucktail with a purple worm just in case a trout is in the area. No word on flounder from the Back Bays.
