Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/25/25

Saturday was windy with small craft advisories up, but Sunday and Monday will save the holiday weekend.

The fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park saw a mixed bag of flounder, spot and blues. Our connection was poor, but I expect the flounder were caught on minnows fished close to the pilings, the spot were caught on bloodworms and the blues were caught on cut bait.

Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m cleaned a pair of stripers caught from the Indian River Inlet on 3-ounce bucktails fished deep. They also said one boat went out, but came back in after drifting at 3 to 4-knots.

Old Inlet reported that stripers were caught at night out of Indian River Inlet on bucktails. Blues come through the Inlet on incoming water and will hit metal lures. A few flounder are beginning to be caught on minnows.
