Delaware State Police Arrest Bridgeville Pair for Burglary and Theft


Delaware State Police have arrested two individuals–33-year-old Robert Layton and 31-year-old Jasmine Rokos both of Bridgeville– for burglary and related offenses after a break-in at a Seaford home. The burglary was reported on May 23rd. Police say the two had forced entry to the unoccupied home. Once inside, the suspects stole electronics, power tools, automotive parts, welding equipment, and fishing rods valued at over $12,000. Investigators identified the pair as suspects and executed a search warrant on May 26 that their Bridgeville residence, where they recovered stolen goods, firearms—including a stolen handgun—and drug paraphernalia. Layton and Rokos were arrested and taken to Troop 4 where they were charged with multiple crimes.Layton, who is a convicted felon, and a person prohibited, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $80,600 secured bond. Rokos was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and released on her own recognizance.
