Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/05/25

Wednesday was another beautiful summer day. But wait, it’s still spring!

Rick’s Bait and Tackle in Long Neck reported that Brandon Hoey fished the Old Grounds on Tuesday to catch a 6-pound, 25-inch flounder on a CJ Tackle flounder rig.

Steve Kuhlman fished last Tuesday at Site 11 and it took 25 short sea bass to get one keeper. This week it only took 13 shorts to get a keeper sea bass. He also caught two sea robins and four short flounder.

No Limit had a limit of yellowfin tuna plus two bigeyes. That should give the party plenty of meat to last the summer.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said some boats had more flounder than the sea bass while others had more sea bass than flounder. One private boat had a three-man limit of sea bass. They did say it took a while.
