MD State Highway Administration to Assist with Large Tank Moves in Worcester County

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will assist a private transport company with road closures for the movement of five oversized natural gas tanks along US 113 (Worcester Highway) in Worcester County in the coming weeks. Beginning around midnight on Monday, June 9th; Wednesday, June 11th; Friday, June 13th; Monday, June 16th and Wednesday, June 18th, crews will temporarily close north and southbound US 113 between MD 367 (Bishopville Road) and Kepler Lane to accommodate these moves and will re-open the roadway by 5 a.m. each morning. All work is weather permitting. State Highway Administration maintenance crews, along with the Maryland State Police, will be on hand to assist during these road closures.
