Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/06/25

Thursday was not as nice on the open water as the forecast promised. It did settle down towards the end of the day so the ride home was a bit more enjoyable.

Lewes Harbour Marina said Emi caught a 22-inch flounder from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal beating her father and brother.

When I called at 4:00 p.m. the charter and private boats had not returned from the ocean. I suspect they were trying to fill the box with flounder or sea bass or both.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said it was another day of croaker and spot on bloodworms. A few short flounder were caught on minnows fished close to the pilings.

Over at Rick’s Bait and Tackle on Long Neck the report was flounder caught out of Indian River Bay on minnows and Gulp!

Old Inlet said blues came through on incoming water.
