Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/12/25

It seems like we always have some excuse for why the fishing is slow. Either we have small craft advisories, the wind is out of the east or the northwest, or the fog was too thick. Well for Wednesday we have another excuse, a full moon. A full moon causes too much current and makes holding bottom very difficult and since most of us are fishing for bottom fish, that is a problem.

Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid brought back 15 flounder and a private boat had 4 from ocean structure.

Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m told us they had a few boats out to ocean structure fishing for flounder and sea bass. All reported slow action due to the strong current from the full moon.

Old Inlet said short stripers were caught on eels at night until blues to 30 inches came by and ate the eels. A few sheepshead were caught on sand fleas.
