Saturday is Flag Day, 250th Anniversary of the US Army & President Trump’s Birthday

Today is Flag Day, which was commemorated in 1777 when the United States approved the design for its first national flag.

Today also is President Donald Trump’s 79^th birthday.

And it is also the 250^th Anniversary of the US Army. However later this year the US Navy and Marines Corps will also celebrate their 250^th Anniversaries – in October and November. On Thursday, the Delaware General Assembly passed three concurrent resolutions honoring the men and women who have served in all three service branches. The US Navy’s 250th Anniversary is on October 13 and the US Marine Corps 250th Anniversary is November 10.
