Dover PD Investigating Early Sunday Morning Shooting

Dover Police are investigating a shooting that left a 42 year old Magnolia woman injured Sunday morning. Police were on patrol in the downtown area as bars let out when they heard several shots fired. In the area of Minor Street Alley police found the victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

Police learned a black male was the shooter – and he drove off in a stolen Kia Forte which police attempted to stop on Leipsic Road. The car crashed in a field, but the driver ran off on foot. Police have not found the suspect, but a firearm was found in the area of the crash.
