UPDATE: Victim Identified; DSP Investigating Death of Frankford Area Woman

UPDATE 07/02/25:

Delaware State Police have identified 37-year-old Jessica Thompson of Frankford, Delaware, as the woman in the ongoing death investigation in Frankford. The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident. 

Original Post: 

Delaware State Police were asked to check on the welfare of a 37 year old woman in the Frankford area who had not been contacted for several days. Troopers arrived at her Zion Church Road home and found the woman with an apparent fatal gunshot wound – she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The DSP Homicide Unit is investigating and ask anyone with information to contact Detective McDerby at 302-741-2821 or Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
