Arrest Made in Juneteenth Shooting Incident in Milford
The investigation into a shooting incident that happened on June 19th on Valley Drive in Milford has led to the arrest of 23-year-old Jashaun Johnson of Selbyville. According to police, on June 21st, investigators secured an arrest warrant for Johnson related to this incident. With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal鈥檚 First State Fugitive Task Force, Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and Smyrna Police Department, investigators were able to take Johnson into custody without incident today in Smyrna. Johnson faces multiple charges including: Attempted Murder– 1st Degree (Felony), Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony (Felony), and Criminal Mischief Over $1000. Johnson had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Department of Correction on $551,000 cash bail. A no contact order was issued between Johnson and the victim. Johnson will appear at a later date in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing.
