UPDATED: DSP Identify Victim in 4 Vehicle Crash near Argos Corner Friday Morning

UPDATED – 07/14/25 – Delaware State Police have identified 71 year old Peter Surdo from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania as the man who died in the fatal four-vehicle crash on Friday south of Milford. The investigation remains ongoing.

ORIGINAL STORY – 07/11/25 – A four vehicle crash in the area of Argos Corner south of Milford around 7:30 Friday morning has left a Pennsylvania man dead and two injured. Delaware State Police say a Tahoe driven by a 31 year old Frederica man was northbound on Coastal Highway – approaching Bakerfield Road. In a gradual curve, the driver of the Tahoe entered the center median and rotated entering the southbound lanes into the path of a minivan driven by a 71 year old man from Pennsylvania. The collision separated the engine from the Tahoe. A Subaru traveling behind the minivan struck the rear of the van and a Chrysler traveling behind the Subaru struck the detached engine.

The Pennsylvania man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Tahoe was hospitalized with critical injuries and the driver of the Subaru was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler was not injured.
