Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/21/25

Sunday saw decent weather with seas of 2 feet and believe it or not, but the forecast for the remainder of the week calls for 2-foot seas and light winds. Unfortunately, everywhere I called for a report described the fishing as slow.

Lewes Harbour Marina said the boats that ran to the ocean scratched out a couple of flounder and sea bass. The head boats Angler and Pirate King fished in Delaware Bay and brought some croaker, spot and kings to the cleaning table.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park told us fishing was on the slow side on Sunday with a pick of croaker, spot with a few kings and short flounder.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said it was like Groundhog Day. The same thing over and over again. Stripers at night, blues during the day and sheepshead or tog in the rocks.
