Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/16/25

Friday was another good weather day with even more boats out there looking for that big flounder.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported two Lewes boats were in the top five at the Flounder Pounder Tournament. The Katydid was in fourth with an 8.5-pound flounder and the Grizzly was in fifth with an 8.3 pounder.

Mary Frantic caught a nice-sized king at Conquest Road with in the first five minutes of fishing there.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said it was a big day on the pier as a keeper flounder was caught. There were also plenty of spot and croaker along with some kings taken on bloodworms and Fishbites.

Old Inlet told us tog and sheepshead were taken from the rocks on sand fleas and green crabs. Blues to 25 inches were caught on metal lures during incoming water.
