Crisfield Man Charged with Sex Abuse of a Minor

A Crisfield man was arrested by Maryland State Police Thursday on charges of sexual abuse of a minor in Somerset County. Investigators from the Princess Anne Criminal Enforcement Division obtained an arrest warrant for 60 year old Gene Hughes of Crisfield who was arrested at his home without incident.
Hughes is charged with sex abuse of a minor, 2nd degree assault and related offenses. Hughes is being held without bond.
The investigation is continuing.
