MSP Investigating Inmate Death at ECI in Westover

Maryland State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Eastern Correctional Institute in Westover. Corrections officials contacted police Sunday evening just after 5:30 after 24 year old Donyell Morris was in a cell with another inmate before he was found was found unresponsive on his bunk. He was pronounced dead by EMS personnel. A suspect – also an inmate – has been identified, but has not been charged at this time as the investigation is continuing.
