Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/02/25

On Monday I attended an all you can eat and more crab feast at J B’s Wharf in Bowers Beach and from the look of Delaware Bay I was pretty sure no boats were going out there or on the ocean. That was confirmed by Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em.

My Delaware Bay reporter, Nick Garcia, did get out on Saturday. On Saturday he had his grandpop and friend Tim along. They made a long run before setting up the first drift at 8:00 a.m. That produced nine shorts. The second drift saw an 18 and a 22-inch go in the cooler. By now it was getting rough so they moved closer to shore and ended the day with five keepers to Nick’s second 26.5-inch beauty.
