Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/08/25

If anyone went fishing on Sunday, they love a fish more then I do. The new week is not looking good as winds are going to be 15 to 20 from the northwest or northeast so it is going to be rough either on the ocean or the bay.

This is the time of year when flounder are moving to the ocean and back when we fished for stripers at the mouth of Delaware Bay there were some big flounder caught on lures and baits meant for linesiders. If I had a boat that was running, I believe I would be fishing with live spot or 3 to 4-ounce bucktails at the mouth of the bay.

I recall drifting over structure at the “8s”. Three buoys numbered 8A, 8B and 8 located on the west side of Overfalls Shoal.

There is some other good structure on Overfalls Shoal that makes up on incoming current and a west wind.
