Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/11/25
Wednesday was nastier than Tuesday with rain to go along with the wind.
Yesterday I reported on the public hearing being held in Delaware on September 18 at the Hunter Educational Center in Little Creek or virtually by way of ASMFC broadcast. It is about the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission attempt to reduce the recreational take of striped bass by 12%. In order to accomplish this, they would prevent recreational fishermen from practicing catch and release fishing when catch and keep was not in season. They are basing this on my favorite data set, MRIP, which is about as accurate as trying to hit a running deer with a bowling ball. Please do your own research on the subject and come prepared to oppose Draft Addendum III.
This is Eric Burnley with your Talk of Delmarva fishing report.
