DSP Investigating Armed Robbery at Shawnee Country Store in Milford

An investigation is underway by Delaware State Police into a robbery Sunday afternoon at the Shawnee Country Store in Milford. Police were called to the business around 1:30pm and learned that 2 employees and a customer were inside when the suspect jumped over the counter, showed a knife and demanded an employee to open the cash register. The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash and left the scene. There were no injuries.

The suspect is a black man who wore dark clothing. Police are working with neighboring agencies to determine if this incident may be related to other recent robberies.
