Family of Three Displaced Following House Fire in Salisbury


A family of three is being assisted by the American Red Cross and a Wicomico County Public Schools Disaster Program after a fire that occurred this morning at a house on Pine Way in Salisbury. According to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the fire at the one-story, wood-framed, single-family home started in the bedroom and was accidental as a result of an unattended candle. No injuries resulted from the blaze but total damage is estimated to be around $25,000. According to the State Fire Marshal, the smoke alarm and fire alarm/sprinkler status was noted as not present.聽
