2 Dead & 2 Injured in Crash West of Georgetown Sunday Afternoon
A three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon around 3 near Georgetown left two dead and two injured. Delaware State Police say a Sonata was stopped for a stop sign on northbound West Robbins Road at Redden Road. A small SUV and Corolla were traveling towards each other on Redden Road near the intersection when the Sonata, driven by a 57 year old New Jersey woman, failed to remain stopped and entered the intersection colliding with the SUV which overturned multiple times and onto the Corolla.
Police say the driver of the Corolla, who has not been identified, and a passenger, a 31 year old Georgetown man were both declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV and a passenger – both from Ocean View, were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Sonata was not injured.Â
