Governor Matt Meyer Joins Governors Public Health Alliance Focused on Public Health Coordination
Governor Matt Meyer has joined 14 other Governors in announcing the launch of the Governors Public Health Alliance, a new coalition of states and territories that officials say is designed to protect the health of people across the United States. In addition to Governor Meyer, the initial members of the alliance will include Maryland Governor Wes Moore and California Governor Gavin Newsom. The Governors Public Health Alliance is described as a nonpartisan initiative aimed at improving coordination among states and the global health community. The focus will be on data sharing, emergency preparedness, and public health policy. The group will also collaborate with regional organizations, including the Northeast Public Health Collaborative and the West Coast Health Alliance, to exchange information and address shared challenges related to public health response and planning.
