US Senator Van Hollen Pushes for Wind, Senator Carozza Says No to Turbines

MD officials held a “Say Yes to Wind” press conference in Baltimore Friday. US Senator Chris Van Hollen and others stood up for Maryland offshore wind and the good-paying jobs, cost-savings and environmental benefits the offshore wind project will deliver. Van Hollen also highlighted how the Trump Administration’s efforts to undermine offshore wind threaten Maryland’s economic growth.

However in Ocean City and in Worcester County the No to Turbines call continues. Senator Mary Beth Carozza Friday called on Maryland officials to recognize the damaging impact of industrializing Maryland’s ocean. Senator Carozza is standing up for the people of Maryland in strong opposition to the State’s costly offshore wind project and to protect tourism jobs, commercial fishing, the environment, homeland security and Maryland taxpayers.
